If there is one thing I almost always have at the back of my mind is having a back up plan. Applying for jobs, schools, route to take home, what to eat, (foodies in the house wink), keeping class assignments on Google Drive?
However, isn’t cloud supposed to be reliable? Shouldn’t I have access to information whenever I want? When access to a computer and cloud became a daily part of my life, of what use was my notebook for blogging when I could easily type into wordpress, have it saved and post when ready?
Boy was I wrong. everything I had worked so hard for over 2 years was gone in a twinkle of an eye. A change in server, and some technical hitches from my web host, resulted in a sad end to all previous blog posts. Lesson learnt, technology is not void of mistakes. Losing all my posts was and still is disappointing but as we say in recent times, we meeuve!!!
As if that was not enough, I had my share of Instagram disabling and further deactivating all my business accounts and personal accounts. Having to start all over with my business pages was the most painful but God being good, we’re making progress.
On that note, I reintroduce you to Yom Afi, where I’ll continue to write on a myriad of experiences and a variety of topics.
